A Message from Alan Hays

Lake County's Supervisor of Elections

Tuesday, September 19 is National Voter Registration Day. This non-partisan civic holiday is a day of coordinated events to encourage Americans to get vote ready by registering to vote. Thousands of volunteers and organizations are working together to get communities ready to be at the polls for their next election.

No matter what party you support or what issues matter the most to you, this is a great opportunity to take that first step in exercising one of our most important civil rights as an American citizen--the right to vote. I want to encourage you to become civically engaged because your vote does matter.

If you are already a voter, take time to inspire others to register to vote by sharing why it's important to you. Help raise up the next generation of voters, your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, and even the neighborhood kid through role modeling and conversation. You won't regret sharing your election experiences.

Registering to vote has never been easier! Stop by our office at 1898 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, register online at LakeVotes.gov/Register to vote, or attend a scheduled community outreach event.

Once you are registered to vote consider becoming an election worker. Learn more by selecting the Becoming an Election Worker tab at LakeVotes.gov.

I look forward to seeing you at one of our outreach events or at the polls at an upcoming election.

Thank you for the privilege of serving as your Supervisor of Elections.

Lake County Supervisor of Elections
Announces 2023 Municipal Primary Election—Unofficial Results Posted

The unofficial results of the Lake County 2023 Municipal Primary Election have been posted at LakeVotes.gov. The results include partial Vote-by-Mail and all Election Day precincts.

The results DO NOT include provisional ballots, or ballots with signature issues that may need to be cured. Voters who need to cure any signature issues must do so by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24th.

To view the unofficial results, visit LakeVotes.gov and select the Unofficial Results button on the home page. Official results will be released on Friday, August 25th if no recount is required.

“We appreciate all the City of Clermont voters who exercised their right to vote today as well as the combined efforts of the Election Workers who contributed to a successful election. I want to encourage Lake Countians to participate in Municipal Elections and make plans to vote on November 7th. Local elections are every bit as important, if not more so, as federal elections,” commented Supervisor Hays.

Lake Countians with election related questions are encouraged to reach out to the Lake County Supervisor of Elections Office by phone at 352-343-9734, online at LakeVotes.gov or in person at 1898 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares.
