The Lake County Supervisor of Elections Office is entrusted with conducting Countywide elections, assisting with municipal elections, qualifying candidates, voter registrations, updating voter information, voter roll management, and other related functions.
We are looking to hire temporary workers to assist with clerical functions, such as phone and general office support during the upcoming election season. The anticipated start date for these positions is early July and employment will run through mid-November. As these are temporary positions, benefits are not available.
Hours are typically 8:00am-5:00pm but may vary based on operational need. Please note that you must be able to work extended hours on Election Day for both the primary (Tues., Aug. 23rd) and General (Tues., Nov. 8th) elections. Commitment to work the entire election cycle is required.
Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following:
- above average proficiency in computer skills
- operation basic office equipment
- good telephone etiquette
- excellent customer service
- accuracy with attention to detail
- cooperation and team work
Additionally the ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
Hourly rate is $13.00 per hour.
