The Lake County Supervisor of Elections Office is entrusted with conducting Countywide elections, assisting with municipal elections, qualifying candidates, voter registrations, updating voter information, voter roll management, and other related functions.
We are seeking to hire Deputy Clerks to serve Lake Countians with voter registration, the mail ballot voting process and other functions related to Elections. The ideal candidate would have a high level of clerical proficiency, such as phone and general office support and be able to work independently or as a member of a high-performance team. The anticipated start date for these positions is February.
Hours are typically 8:00am- 5:00pm but may vary based on operational need and during the Election cycle. These are full time positions with benefits.
Required skills include the following: Computer and telephone skills, operating office equipment, customer service excellence, accuracy, attention to detail, and cooperation. Additionally, the ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
Hourly rate starts at $15.00 per hour.
